PumpWise
Fuel prices around home, with a Buy or Wait signal and U91 vs E10 compared.
Is the petrol prices going up or down? Should I wait? How long? Does it worth buying E10?
Fuel prices go up and down in cycles and I never knew if the prices were going down or up. I also never knew if E10 was really cheaper than U91, since the car burns more of it.
So I built PumpWise to watch the prices around my home and tell me when and where to buy, and which fuel is worth it.
The cheapest servo isn’t always the best one. A servo 1c cheaper but 12 km away costs more in the fuel burnt to get there, so PumpWise ranks every servo around by its price plus the fuel burnt on the round trip from home.

- List and map: the top 15 servos sorted by price. Also show rank and distance from home. View the servos in a navigable map.
- U91 vs E10: cost per 100 km for each fuel, counting E10’s extra 3 to 4% consumption, with the break-even price.
- Buy alerts when the price dips 10c or more under the 7-day average.
- 14-day price chart to see where we are in the cycle.
- Widgets: small, medium and large home screen widgets plus the three lock screen styles.
- Settings: home address, search radius, tank size, consumption and whether the car takes E10.
The prices come from the Fuel Prices QLD API. The API key is entered in the app.
